Powell and Frances Ogletree Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding member of The Legacy, the student alumni association, on an annual basis. Requirements for the Ogletree Scholarship are service to The Legacy along with involvement at Southern Miss. The scholarship is a one-time monetary gift of $1,000. The applicant must be of at least junior standing and be returning for continued academic work.

Past Presidents Council Endowed Scholarship
This award goes to an individual who can be designated as a “ University of Southern Mississippi alumni leader of the future.” The individual must be a member of The Legacy and hold at least sophomore standing at the time of consideration for the scholarship. Award winners should demonstrate a profound interest in The University of Southern Mississippi, its traditions and its future and display an allegiance promising to last long beyond their academic days at the University. They should have a desire to gain pronounced leadership skills and have a 2.5 or higher GPA. Finally, they should be of good reputation and citizenship in all respects.

The Clyde Kennard Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarships to Southern Miss students, with preference given to minority students, as selected by the Alumni Association Scholarship Committee. It is requested that special priority be given to members of The Legacy who have demonstrated a commitment to the University and a desire to see it prosper.
